  • From “deficit” to “dialogue”, from “result-oriented” to “processes-oriented” communication: International trends and developments in science-society dialogues
  • From “topic-driven” to “challenge-driven” research and innovation – where is the difference in funding scenarios – and which expectations should I meet?
  • Where are academic benefits in communicating research and engaging with citizens and stakeholders? Which capacities do I get? How can I apply them in teaching and research processes?

Day 2  (13 July 2022)
Let’s Face the Challenge: Impact-Oriented Proposal Design in Times of Transformation

  • Overview of trends in national and European funding scenarios, especially Horizon Europe, BMBF, DFG
  • Introduction to impact-oriented proposal design in EU and national funding scenarios
  • Role of dissemination strategies and stakeholder engagement in funding proposals
  • Practical tips and tricks on writing strong proposals

Qualification Goals
The dialogue-oriented course will empower early career researchers via a mix of input, reflections and practical sessions. A major goal of the training will be to enable participants to access international and national funding scenarios by applying impact-oriented Open Innovation processes.
