In this session the Research Support Office at UBT presents positions on Science Communication in German and European research policy, and informs on SciComm requirements of the different funding bodies:

• What is the status of SciComm in key European and German policy papers?
• What are the expectations of major funding bodies (DFG, federal government, Horizon Europe / ERC, foundations) in the area of SciComm and public relations? What do you have to keep in mind for grant applications?
• What advice is available from the Research Support Office and beyond?

Qualification Goals

• Awareness of the necessity of SciComm in research
• Knowledge of the requirements of funding bodies in the area of SciComm (guidelines, important buzzwords etc)
• Presentation of your SciComm ideas in grant applications
