This workshop provides participants with essential tools and input that will guide them in their preparation for the doctoral defense. The course addresses all issues pertaining to the doctoral defense.

Topics are:

• What are the aims of the doctoral defense?
• How to efficiently and strategically prepare for the defense
• How to design an interesting and fascinating research narrative
• How to anticipate and deal with (killer) questions
• How to deal with exam anxiety and stage fright

The workshop puts theory into practice. One participant can take a full mock defense. Potentially, there might be time for another 20 min. or a short presentation.

• Dr Dunja Mohr, Go Academic! is a senior scientist, certified coach, and trainer
• she has been offering  workshops, group and individual coachings for foundations, clusters of excellence, Graduate schools, universities, and universities of applied science for over fifteen years. 
• she has also been a coach for uni-support, Institut für Hochschulberatung, for ten years.  

For reasons of respect and fairness towards all participants and the workshop leaders, participants who miss more than 10% of the workshop are considered not to be present. You will therefore not receive a certificate and you will not be able to use the workshop in question to unlock funds or acquire further qualifications.
