Ombuds Persons for Junior Scholars
The ombuds persons for young scholars provide advice in the event of conflicts or other problems that arise during the qualification phase:
- Supervision relationship between doctoral candidates and supervisors,
- relationship between post-doctoral researchers and the subject mentor,
- in the context of the employment status and duties as a research assistant or junior professor

The ombuds persons can be called upon by persons in the qualification phase as well as by supervising university teachers, members of the university management, the dean, committees or superiors.
The ombuds persons observe the procedural principles for the Ombudsman of the University of Bayreuth. They are based on the "Statutes of the University of Bayreuth for Ensuring Standards of Good Academic Practice and Dealing with Academic Misconduct" („Satzung der Universität Bayreuth zur Sicherung der Standards guter wissenschaftlicher Praxis und zum Umgang mit wissenschaftlichem Fehlverhalten“) of July 28, 2022.
