The conference targets Researchers with a PhD or close to finishing one at all career levels, but also professionals and decision makers in academia.
Career paths after a PhD are often portrayed as a logical sequence of steps: you finish your PhD, choose a direction, and move forward from there. In reality, careers are much less linear. People move between sectors, combine roles, change direction, or take paths they never planned for.
How we understand these different paths matters. It shapes how researchers think about their options and how institutions, managers, and others supporting researchers approach career development.
