The Office of Research Support (F) offers scholars from all disciplines comprehensive advice and support in preparing and applying for their research projects. Institute for Entrepreneurship & InnovationHide

The Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (website only available in German) at the University of Bayreuth uniquely combines the fields of research, teaching and transfer. The central goals are the implementation of excellent, internationally visible basic and applied research, the development of start-up and innovation capabilities, and the sustainable increase in the innovation and future viability of both established companies and new start-ups in the Upper Franconia region.

International Office / Welcome CentreHide

The International Office is the contact point for all those who would like to go abroad, are interested in an international partnership with the University of Bayreuth or are interested in a double-degree program with international partner universities.

The Welcome Service provides support with information about studying in Bayreuth, housing, dealing with authorities and extracurricular activities (e.g. buddy program).

Ombuds persons for young scholarsHide

The ombuds persons for young scholars provide advice in the event of conflicts or other problems that arise during the qualification phase. For example, the supervisory relationship between doctoral candidates and supervisors, the relationship between post-doctoral candidates and the departmental mentorate, the legal position and duties as a research assistant or junior professor.

At the Writing Centre, students and doctoral candidates of the University of Bayreuth can find free support in all questions related to scientific writing. Among other things, individual writing advice and workshops on scientific writing are offered.

The Language Centre (website only available in German) is the central point of contact for all students at the University of Bayreuth when it comes to foreign language teaching.
