Time: 2pm - 6pm

In the first session participants will learn how to plan, prepare, practice and deliver a well-organized presentation. They will receive guidance on how to develop the content of each stage of the presentation and how to highlight essential points. Special emphasis will be placed on using standard rhetorical phrases, soliciting and retaining audience attention, and dealing with questions from the floor. Advice will also be offered on building confidence and overcoming nervousness when addressing an audience in the target language. Participants will then apply and hone their skills by delivering a short presentation on their own area of research in the second session.
