Description:

The RDM team at the University of Bayreuth offers support in all phases of a research project. This one-hour module starts at the very beginning of a project idea and provides an introduction to Research Data Management.

We will explore the following questions:

  • What is behind the term research data management?
  • Why is good research data management so important for my research project?
  • What exactly are research data?
  • What is 'fair' data?
  • What are the FAIR and CARE principles?
  • What do the various funding organisations expect when dealing with research data?
  • What does the University of Bayreuth expect from you when handling data?

For reasons of respect and fairness towards all participants and the workshop leaders, participants who miss more than 10% of the workshop are considered not to be present. You will therefore not receive a certificate and you will not be able to use the workshop in question to unlock funds or acquire further qualifications.

Before you register, please confirm with your supervisor/ employer that you are free to participate in the course on that date.
