The Research Data Management (RDM) team at the University of Bayreuth offers support throughout the various phases of a research project. Professional management of your research data in accordance with good scientific practice is a key requirement of high-quality, reproducible research.

In the interactive workshop “Mission FDM”, participants explore the core principles of research data management through a card-based escape game. Working in small teams, participants collaboratively reflect on the main stages of the data lifecycle: research project planning, data collection, data preparation and analysis, archiving, sharing and publishing, and data reuse. The goal is to develop a “roadmap” for a typical research data workflow within a 90-minute session.

“Mission FDM” is aimed at doctoral candidates who wish to gain an overview of RDM concepts and requirements: Using gamification, the workshop provides hands-on experience with key RDM principles and practical tips for handling research data responsibly.
