Research Presentation in Three Minutes - present your research topic in three minutes!
The Three Minute Thesis competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by PhD students. Developed by the University of Queensland, 3MT cultivates students' academic, presentation, and research communication skills.
The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
PhD candidates from all disciplines can participate!
In order to complete, you have to attend all four sessions:
- 08 November - Session 1: 3MT...where do I start?
- 15 November - Session 2: Science communication and public speaking
- 22 November - Session 3: Semi-finals
- 29 November - Session 4: Finals followed by an award ceremony

For reasons of respect and fairness towards all participants and the workshop leaders, participants who miss more than 10% of the workshop are considered not to be present. You will therefore not receive a certificate and you will not be able to use the workshop in question to unlock funds or acquire further qualifications.
