Employment in a position with teaching duties or in a third-pary funded project. Here you can find an overview of current job offers at the University of Bayreuth.
2. Funding via a doctoral scholarship
Since Germany offers a wide range of different scholarships, it is not possible to offer a detailed overview of all scholarship opportunities. Therefore, the scholarship database of the University of Bayreuth is linked below. We also recommend researching other scholarships via other databases.
The University of Bayreuth maintains an extensive list of funding opportunities through scholarships and sources, also for doctoral candidates, which can be accessed here.
In our intranet (FAQ UBTGS) you will find information on funding opportunities of the UBTGS, such as the individual budget for members, printing cost subsidies as well as information on how to apply for a doctoral scholarship. We will also be happy to advise you on finding the right scholarship and applying for it. To do so, send an email to graduateschool@uni-bayreuth.de.
3. Completing your doctorate while working
You can finance your doctorate with a part or full-time position (research related or not) and do your doctorate while working. Regular exchange with your supervisor and the working group as well as interdisciplinary networking with other doctoral candidates are particularly recommended.
