Deadline December 31: The Roman Herzog Research Prize for Social Market Economy 2023

The Roman Herzog Institute annually awards the Roman Herzog Research Prize Social Market Economy, endowed with a total of 35,000 €. The prize is awarded to three young academics from all disciplines whose dissertations or post-doctoral theses deal with the further development of the social market economy and questions of regulatory policy for the future. The research papers submitted should present a well-founded analysis of currently relevant regulatory issues. The practicability and practical relevance of the research results are of great importance. Self-applications as well as proposals from faculties and institutes are possible. Contributions from all disciplines are welcome.
Criteria:
- doctoral or postdoctoral thesis (written in German or English) is not older than three years
- not older than 40 years at the time of applying (parental leave is taken into account)

- one printed copy of my thesis and an electronic version (in the case of cumulative doctoral and postdoctoral theses an submission all the relevant publications) with one expert opinion on the thesis
- a brief summary of the approach, the core hypotheses, the core theses as well as central findings and the added value of the research project for the further development of the social market economy in a generally understandable formulation
