Deadline 29.05.2023: French-German summer school "Frontiers in Machine Intelligence"

The French-German summer school “Intelligent cars on digital roads - Frontiers in Machine Intelligence”, organized by EURECOM, TU Munich and BMW Group, known as the “BMW Summer School” is again calling on PhD candidates and young scientists to gather again at the French Côte-d’Azur for multidisciplinary exchange on the future of mobility. The week of July 3rd – 8th 2023 will be bustling with interesting keynote talks and workshops, and a special focus on solving challenges in mobility with AI-as-a-Service. The event is supported by BayFrance and the Franco-German-University.
This year, the summer school will have pleasure to welcome IVADO, a French-Canadian leading Institute in AI, which will provide insight on robust, reasoning and responsible AI. The Summer School will turn the spot onto the topic of solving challenges in mobility with AI-as-a-Service, a broad field of discussion and growing relevance at the crossroads of technology, psychology, product safety, law, economics, and ethics. They will look into it with a special emphasis on in trust and ethics with generative AI (and the impact of deep fakes). The future of intelligent cars has just begun – help shape it during this exciting summer school. Join the summer school for a week of technical deep dives and multi-disciplinary debate!
The French-German summer school is soliciting original contributions from international PhD students and young researchers with a keen interest in shaping the future of individual mobility. The BMW Summer School is encouraging multi-disciplinary discussion and hence is calling for contributions from all fields – from computer or transportation science to electrical engineering, from economics to legal, from sociology to psychology and philosophy.
Contributions will be as single poster to be presented during the summer school. Submissions are required to be full poster submissions. The poster and a 1-page description of your research activities is to be submitted to Easychair. This Summer School qualifies for ECTS credits.

The BMW Summer School will be organized in three tracks:
- Keynote/breakout track – Learning from invited speakers presenting their views and research.
- Poster track – presentation & discussion of conference submissions.
- Lean startup machine – develop innovative ideas in a competitive startup/pitching format.
