The scholarship department of the Heinrich Böll Foundation grants scholarships to German and foreign graduates and doctoral candidates. The scholarships are awarded in accordance with the guidelines issued by Germany's Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt).

Scholarship amount: 1.350€ per month basic scholarship plus 100€ per month research costs allowance

Procedure

• Online submission of written application documents (by September 1, 2023)
  
• Interview with a liaison lecturer (mid November)
  
• Digital interview with committee (Dec./Jan./Feb.)
  
• Notification of scholarship award (January/February)
