Description
This workshop deals with the significance of sex and gender in research and innovation. It starts with a self-reflection on gender, your career and your research; the aim is to achieve a self-positioning in an intersectional perspective. On this basis, a short input on gender and intersectionality studies follows: Gender as a dynamic social product in intersectional perspective as well as an introduction to gender relevance assessment. In this workshop, your research can be discussed terms of “How does my research and my approach need to be (re)formulated to take (sex and) gender into account?”. We also look at the importance of gender aspects for third-party funding proposals, as a gender relevance assessment is now mostly required as standard. Finally, the GO Forschung Budget is presented, which enables UBT researchers (PostDocs) to apply for a research project and acquire third-party funding after successful evaluation.

This workshop is part of the BMBF-funded project GO Forschung: https://www.frauenbeauftragte.uni-bayreuth.de/de/go-forschung/index.html
