Description
In order to work successfully in Germany, international professionals must be familiar with German cultural standards and their influence on the work sphere. Only with the right understanding collaboration can be efficient and frustration avoided.
In this seminar you are introduced to cultural dimensions in Germany. We will discuss the typical German way of working and common behaviour of your German colleagues. We explore why things are done in a certain way, which advantages these cultural standards have for Germans but also which conflicts may occur. Moreover, we define the role of an employee and a superior. You are encouraged to become aware of your own individual characteristics in order to discover own conflict potential. The course ends with an exercise analysing interculturally related conflicts. We discuss the different perspectives and possible solutions to avoid the conflict in the future.
* Creditability within the kick-off seminar
