Description
The target group of the event consists of professors and junior professors in civil servant positions who have recently been appointed to the University of Bayreuth. Scientists from the University of Bayreuth whose appointment is imminent are also welcome to participate.

The context is shaped by the daily experiences of the participants at the University of Bayreuth, where certain questions frequently arise that can be resolved more quickly and easily with the help of this workshop.

Participants will familiarize themselves with the legal foundations governing their civil servant status as professors/junior professors. This enables them to understand internal administrative processes related to handling personnel law issues that arise from everyday situations. The event empowers participants to apply legal provisions themselves and ensures they can provide the responsible contacts within the university administration with the necessary information. The event helps participants strengthen their awareness of potential problems and equips them to analyze emerging issues correctly and promptly. As a result, they will be able to independently assess whether and how they can resolve the problem on their own or whether support from the personnel department is needed. Ultimately, the event fosters constructive and effective collaboration with the University of Bayreuth's personnel department to jointly resolve everyday personnel law issues related to professorships and junior professorships.

For reasons of respect and fairness towards all participants and the workshop leaders, participants who miss more than 10% of the workshop are considered not to be present. You will therefore not receive a certificate and you will not be able to use the workshop in question to unlock funds or acquire further qualifications.

Before you register, please confirm with your supervisor/ employer that you are free to participate in the course on that date.
