Description
The target audience for the event consists of professors and junior professors who have recently been appointed to the University of Bayreuth. Scientists from the University of Bayreuth who are preparing for an appointment are also welcome to participate.
The context is framed by the form for registering secondary employment, which is available on the intranet. This document will be used to explain the legal situation, legal foundations, and criteria for permissibility. Frequently occurring questions will be addressed, along with guidance on completing the form.
Participants will learn about the legal foundations that govern the permissibility of their own secondary employment. This will enable them to understand internal administrative processes related to handling individual questions about secondary employment. Participants will be able to apply legal provisions themselves or provide the relevant contacts in the university administration with the necessary information. The event will help participants strengthen their awareness of potential problems and analyze questions related to secondary employment accurately and promptly. As a result, they will be able to independently assess whether and how they can resolve specific issues on their own or whether support from the Human Resources Department is needed. Ultimately, the event fosters constructive and effective collaboration with the Human Resources Department at the University of Bayreuth to jointly resolve everyday questions related to secondary employment.
For reasons of respect and fairness towards all participants and the workshop leaders, participants who miss more than 10% of the workshop are considered not to be present. You will therefore not receive a certificate and you will not be able to use the workshop in question to unlock funds or acquire further qualifications.
Before you register, please confirm with your supervisor/ employer that you are free to participate in the course on that date.
