Description:
For PhD-holders with an international background, it can be a challenge to get into the non-academic job market at the end of a doctoral or post-doc position. The entry routes are not always transparent, candidates are often not well-informed about what to expect in the application process and not everyone can offer German language skills. Where and how you can look for a job outside classic academia depends not just on your qualifications, your skills set, and individual situation but also on knowing about possible entry paths, the (unwritten) rules of the game and strategies beyond simply sending applications. This workshop offers assistance with this and will encourage you to prepare for this transition in a focused, informed way and to create an action plan which you can implement right away.
* Creditability within the kick-off seminar
For reasons of respect and fairness towards all participants and the workshop leaders, participants who miss more than 10% of the workshop are considered not to be present. You will therefore not receive a certificate and you will not be able to use the workshop in question to unlock funds or acquire further qualifications.
Before you register, please confirm with your supervisor/employer that you are free to participate in the course on that date.
