3MT Competition: Your Thesis in Three Minutes

With our next international workshop series in June, we are taking up the topic "Science Communication" by bringing the format of Three Minute Thesis (3MT) to the University of Bayreuth - for the first time! - involving PhD students from the UBT network and its gateway offices in Melbourne, Shanghai and Bordeaux.
The workshops and the competition:
- To introduce students to the format, there will be two kick-off workshops about "Science Communication" on 1 and 8 June.
- On 15 June, participants will compete online in the semi-finals.
- The finals will take place in hybrid form in Bayreuth on 11 July 2022.
The competition is integrated into the "Week of Young Scientists" and the "Bayreuth International Summer School - BISS", which take place at the same time.
An attractive prize will be awarded to the winner. All others will also take home important experiences from the workshop series.
