Description:

This workshop deals with the significance of gender in research and innovation. It starts with a short input on gender and intersectionality studies and relevant concepts followed by how to use a gender relevance assessment.The key questions for the workshop are:

• 1) Do gender and intersectionality play any role in my research?
• 2) How does my research approach need to be (re)formulated to take (sex and) gender into account?
• Furthermore, we have a look at the importance of gender aspects for third-party funding (federal funding agencies) and also at the GO Forschung Budget, which is offered for UBT researchers (PhD candidates and PostDocs).

It is also possible to make counselling appointments for support with applications for third-party funding. 

The workshop is especially tailored for those who do not yet have experience in using gender and intersectionality for research projects.
