Description:

The RDM team at the University of Bayreuth offers support in the various phases of a research project. During the project, a well-designed folder structure and consistent naming of files facilitate both your own work and collaboration within the team. Well-documented data promotes the reproducibility and reuse of research data and supports the FAIR publication of research data in a repository or data journal. The course is aimed at researchers interested in gaining an overview of the topics of data organization and metadata in order to manage their (research) data in a structured and comprehensible way.

The following content will be presented:
- Organization of folder structures and file naming
- Description of research data with metadata
- The FAIR principles in terms of metadata and reusability of research data.. 

Before you register, please confirm with your supervisor/employer that you are free to participate in the course on that date.
